Line 169:
===== Scope =====
The project is aimed at activating citizens of a community around a specific geographic area. The project requires that the people who hold the knowledge of an area (village, town, peri-urban settlement, inner-city suburb, shanty town, etc) contribute the knowledge of and about that community. The knowledge will be contributed either directly to Wikimedia projects (when relevant), or to the Open Street Map platform (for geographical data) or to another digital platform (a wiki website). The platform will be tied to the greater project via a main website, the Kumusha site [working title], which will be correctly licensed and validated so that it allows for direct links to and from Wikipedia.

===== Scope =====
Participants in the project are loosely defined to include schools, retired or elderly members and community groups (arts, heritage, photography, etc.), as well as local shops and local businesses, that can be involved by providing discounts or prizes for events.

In short, the project is aimed at activating the participation of 12-70 year olds within communities in specific countries across Africa. The additional audience is the wider local and national community, as well as global viewers with an invested interest or curiosity in the community.<br>
