== Conceptional Data Models by ECOFIN, Zurich, Switzerland==
Conceptional data models are an essential requirement for the development of databases and applications, in particular in the field of asset and risk management. Numerous connotations and relationships in this specialist field must be recorded, defined and mapped uniformly. These databases and applications can subsequently be used to carry out analyses and draft IT system architectures.

In this field, ECOFIN has developed two extensive data models:

- The Financial Instruments Data Model (FIDM™) for the comprehensive description of all types of financial instrument

- The Middle Office Data Model (MODM) for the description of position management and the internal organization of a financial service provider
