==Athletics==

Winters Mill High School participates in the 2A class of the Piedmont Conference. The Varsity Football team has reached a state semifinal (2005) in the class. Both the girls (2004) and the boys (2005) basketball teams have reached the playoff level. The Track and Field Program has had several atheletes compete on the regional and state level. The Boys and Girls lacrosse have had successful seasons in the past. Other sports at the school include: Boys Baseball, Girls Softball, Girls field hockey, and Cheerleading. The school's atheletic director, Mr. Bill Rumbaugh, oversees the fields and the event planning for the sports. The school hosts several mock-sport-games throughout the year, inclduignincluding a Powderpuff Football Game, where the girls play football and the boys act as cheerleaders. Another such event is the student-faculty game, where the faculty members combine to take on a meledymedley of male and female basketball players from the student body.
