Dr. Barrett was a practicing in 1989 when 76% of all doctors.
I have just found out from the ABPN that in 1967 247 physicians passed the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) exams. They don’t have a total number of how many psychiatrists there were that year. Around the mid ‘70s the average has been 1400-1500 doctors a year. It’s also not the largest field. Many of those that could not become certified took jobs in private practice or less prestigious/paying positions.
Dr. Barrett could have taken that test numerous times. He was a physician with almost 30 years of experience in 1989 when 76% of doctors were qualified, so with all the experience & training he should of.--[[User:MD1954|MD1954]] 22:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
