==Game details==
In this trading card game (TCG), each player will have a hero and/or a party asof backupallies. In booster and starter packs, gamers will be able to find weapons, abilities, armor and quests for these heroes. Some booster packs will also contain legendary cards which contain a scratch-off code. This code can then be redeemed in the online game for a virtual prize. All prizes will be purely cosmetic, such as tabards and mounts.

The base game set, ''Heroes of Azeroth'', appears to contain 361 different cards.
Some booster packs will also contain legendary cards which contain a scratch-off code. This code can be redeemed in the online game. All prizes will be purely cosmetic, such as tabards and mounts.

===Raid decks===
The game will apparently also feature "Raid Decks", representing struggles involving large numbers of players against epic foes. These will need one "Raid Master" (like the Dungeon Master in [[Dungeons & Dragons]]) and 3 or 4 other players. The Raid Master will control all monsters and foes, while the other players will control the raidcharacters itselfparticipating in the raid. Players who are victorious may be able to win certain "loot" item cards from a 10-card ''treasure pack'', although itsit's not clear if this is a permanent change in card ownership or not; if so, each raid would only be able to be done once in fullits fullest form.

The first raid deck is likely to feature the dragon Onyxia (in the form of a 66-card deck).
