It introduced much programming language terminology still in use today, including "[[Value (computer science)#lrvalue\|R-value]]" and "[[Value (computer science)#lrvalue\|L-value]]", "[[ad hoc polymorphism]]", "[[parametric polymorphism]]", and "[[referential transparency (computer science)\|referential transparency]]".
