Secondo la ''[[saga di Hervör]]'' e la ''[[Landnámabók]]'' era figlio di un Eric che combattè contro [[Harald I di Norvegia|Harald Bellachioma]] e regnò dopo i due fratelli [[Björn at Hauge]] e [[Anund Uppsale]]:
