Sugito town is 45 minutes north of Tokyo by train. Its nearest major station is Tobu-Dobutsukoen Eki which is the neighbouring town of Miyashiro.
This year's annual summer festival (natsu matsuri) will be held on the 14th and 15th of July. This festival involves the carrying of the town shrine through the main streets of Sugito, not to mention many food stands and other attractions.
