The Yellow Yi had originally migrated from [[Sichuan]], and live in 4 villages in northwestern [[Fumin County]] (endangered) and one village in northwestern [[Anning, Yunnan]] (moribund, highly endangered).<ref name="Bradley2005">Bradley, David. 2005.
