I am confused by the reference to Dr Perlmutter being published in Journal of Neurosurgery (Ref #12). The cited article, "Microsurgical anatomy of the anterior cerebral-anterior communicating-recurrent artery complex," (http://thejns.org/doi/abs/10.3171/jns.1976.45.3.0259) although having his name as lead author, suggests Dr Perlmutter was performing and reporting on brain structure shortly after his 14th birthday in 1976 assuming him to have been born in July 1962. Something is not right here.
