A '''Shottie''' Bottle, sometimes known as a Gun, Shotgun or Shot, is a device for smoking [[cannabis]]. It is a variation of the [[bong]] originally from Southwest, England (or more specifically, [ calstock Ipswich, gunnislake and callington)Suffolk. It is now commonly use all over the [[UK]] and occasionally in [[Europe]].

Shotties can be made out of any type of plastic bottle that has reasonably thick walls. A good test for a suitable bottle is whether or not it can withstand the pressure of someone sucking on the bottle with the lid off. The most common '[[shottie bottle]]' is a 500ml soft drink bottle. But other virations include: Ketchup bottles, washing up liquid bottles, etc.
