| Android "P" is the upcoming ninth major version of the Android operating system. It was first announced by Google on March 7, 2018, and the first developer preview was released on the same day. Second preview, considered beta quality, was released on May 8, 2018. The final beta of Android P (fourth preview, also considered as a "Release Candidate") was released on July 25, 2018.
