These criteria include pages that contain [[Wikipedia:Patent nonsense|patent nonsense]], [[Wikipedia:Copyright|copyright violations]] and articles that do not satisfy [[Wikipedia:Notability|notability guidelines]]. When deleting such items, [[Wikipedia:Administrators|administrators]] often leave short reasons, such as "A7" for articles that do not satisfy [[Wikipedia:Notability|notability guidelines]], or "G1" for [[Wikipedia:Patent nonsense|patent nonsense]]. == Deletion debates ==

Pages and media may also be listed on a [[Wikipedia:Deletion debates|deletion debate]] page, such as [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for deletion]], where the community is given the opportunity to express their opinion on whether or not the item should remain on Wikipedia. An administrator will delete the page if the discussion ends with a [[Wikipedia:Consensus|consensus]] to do so. It should be noted that these discussions are not a vote.

== Proposed deletions (PROD) ==

Articles may be [[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|proposed for deletion]] by any editor if they do not think that a discussion is needed, but the article does not meet the speedy deletion criteria. These will often be labelled as "prod" in the deletion summary. If there are no objections after five days, the article is deleted, otherwise the matter is discussed at [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion|Articles for deletion]].
