'''PORT ADELAIDE POWER FOOTBALL CLUB'''
Formally the Port Power Football Club, which was created in 1997 to join the AFL, the club changed its name to the Port Adelaide Power Football club in the year 2000. The club has it roots from the SANFL Port Magpies. Many supporters who supported the Port Magpies in the AFL crossed over and supported Port Power in the AFL, but there are curious exceptions [http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?s=9458472e4d0419abb023fc7ab4f4e02e&p=6225050&postcount=2 Dyertribe from Bigfooty]
The club has a modestly sized fan base and plays its home games at AMMI stadium in South Australia. Undoubtely in the club's proudest moment so far is its 2004 Premiership, its first in its history. In the AFL season Port finished a disappointing 12th.
