[[User:Plugwash\|Plugwash]] 00:54, 16 November 2006 (UTC) :ok i just took a look at https://openjdk.dev.java.net/ and it seems that the vm and the compiler are already gpl but the class libraries (which are arguablly the most valuable part of java to have under a free software license) are not going to be until early 2007.
