In some firms, it is (additionally) preferred that analysts earn a professional certification such as the [[Chartered Institute of Management Accountants]] (CIMA) [[Chartered Financial Analyst]] (CFA) designation, or the [[Certified International Investment Analyst]] (CIIA) designation.
