AtAround 10:00 p.m. on [[3 December]], the CNE president Tibisay Lucena gave partial results, reporting that Hugo Chávez had won the election with 5,936,141 votes (61.35%), while Manuel Rosales had received 3,715,292 votes (38.39%).
