Harry Bertoia deve la sua fama in Italia perlopiù alle sue sedie in fili d’acciaio, tanto che la “Diamond chair” è nota come “sedia Bertoia”. Quest’ultima disegnata per la Knoll compare negli anni 50’.

Bertoia progetta, disegna, dipinge; è un’artista e un designer. Opera con un idea della scultura e degli arredi come creazione di oggetti tridimensionali in cui la qualità estetica si può realizzare solo attraverso l’uso sapiente dei materiali.
