=== Verification ===
Annually, all incidents from the previous year are comprehensively verified with agencies who work in the humanitarian sector, to ensure all the details are accurately reflected in the database. The team works with 100 NGO/INGO and UN agencies per year in order to confirm, update, and collect additional incident data, and to source additional incidents that may not have been previously captured via other means.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://aidworkersecurity.org/sites/default/files/AWSD%20Information%20(1).pdf|title=What is the AWSD?|last=Humanitarian Ouctomes|date=2019|website=|archive-url=|archive-date=|access-date=}}</ref> Each year the verified numbers are presented in the [https://aidworkersecurity.org/reports Aid Worker Security Report
