Transposable element
Hello. I apologise to bother you, but if you don't mind, I'd like to ask a question regarding the article Transposable element. I believe it should include some information on the so-called Class III TEs, e.g. Foldback (FB) elements (see: Pierre Capy et al., Dynamics and Evolution of Transposable Elements, 1998). What are your thoughts? Thank you very much. --Pinoczet (talk) 00:30, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
:Pinoczet From a quick overview I think you're right. The classification still seems to be uncommonly used recently though, so it may be worth looking into a little further. E.g. Some papers refer to MITEs as Class III (example), whereas others refer to MITEs as Class II (example).
