This is what theThe Albanian land forcesforce consist of approximately over 500 operational tanks and approximately over 700 APC’s and IVF’s, some equipment has been scraped, or put in storage,. like theThe T-34/76, T-54, &and some 150 Type 59 tanks have been scarped or waiting to be scraped. Some 550 tanks remain operational & over 640 APC's & IFV's, there have also been a recent purchase of 300 [[HMMWV]]'s 150150x of which are equipped with [[BGM-71 TOW]] anti tank rockets, also the 130130x M113 APC's were a Military aid donation from Turkey to Albania 50x of the [[M113]] are to be fitted with [[BGM-71 TOW]] , these are just some of the new things that have been introduced in Albanian Military Arsenal for its modernization, Albania also purchased some more modern equipment in 1995 in case of a conflict with Serbia it needed some new tanks to match Serbia’s [[M84]], over x50105 [[T-62M62]] tanks from Ex-East German stock 55x are [[T-62A]] and 50 others are [[T-62M]] and so were the [[BMP-1]], [[BMP-2]] and [[BRDM-2]] they were put in service near the border with [[Kosovo]] during the 1998-1998 [[Kosovo War]]
