::::I've just noticed that the other benefit of controlling inter-paragraph spacing via [[Template:Intro to/styles.css]] is that the single page versions revert to standard mainspace formatting ([[Help:Introduction to policies and guidelines/All|example]]). So whether consensus leans towards mainspace-style or more expanded formatting, I reckon it's best to leave the markup as standard and control that formatting through the /styles.css page.
