'''Sir Guy Green''' is the current [[acting]] [[Governor General of Australia]] and [[Governor]] of [[Tasmania]]. In 2003, following the controversy of Peter Hollingworth's past handling of child abuse allegations , Green moved into the Governor-General's residence because by then he was the seniormost state governor. When Hollingowrth officialyyofficially resigned in May 2003, Green became the administrator, or in effect acting Governor-General, of Australia.

Sir Guy was born in Launceston, and was Tasmania's first Tasmanian-born governor. He was knighted in 1982 and became Governor of Tasmania in 1995.
