Il 16 febbraio [[2010]] viene annunciato che Skip Sheffield avrebbe preso parte alla prima stagione del ''[[Reality|reality-show]]'' della [[WWE]], ''[[WWE NXT (reality)|NXT]]'', con [[William Regal]] come proprio mentore. Il 2 marzo fa il suo debutto perdendo un [[Tipi di match di wrestling|Tag Team match]] in coppia con [[William Regal|Regal]] contro [[Matt Hardy]] e [[Justin Gabriel]], mentre il 27 aprile ottiene la sua prima vittoria battendo [[Daniel Bryan]].
