'''Isaac Slade''' (born [[May]], [[1981]] in [[Denver, Colorado]]) is the lead [[singer]] and [[piano|pianist]] of [[alternative rock]] and [[piano rock]] band [[The Fray (band)|The Fray]]. He formed the band with childhood friend Joe King in [[2002]] after they bumped into each other at a local Guitar Center. He started singing when he was 8 years old, and started playing piano when he was 11 years old after temporarily losing his voice. Slade co-wrote all of the songs on The Fray's debut album ''[[How to Save a Life]]''. Before forming The Fray, Isaac worked at [[Starbucks]] for several years.{{Fact|date=February 2007}}
