The '''Learning and Teaching Support Network''' ('''LTSN''') was an initiative of the [[United Kingdom]] [[higher education]] bodies to promote high quality learning and teaching in all subject disciplines in higher education. It was intended to support the sharing of innovation and good practices in learning and teaching including the use, where appropriate, of communications and information technology. It operated through a set of 24 centres, specific to different subjects such as Engineering or English, so that good practice appropriate to that subject could be gathered and disseminated, and building up a network of practitioners.<ref name=Times2000>[http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/story.asp?storyCode=153788§ioncode=26 How to ...
