==Biografia==

Born in 1944, he grew up in [[Eugene, Oregon]], playing the [[violin]] from an early age. He studied [[mathematics]] at the [[University of Chicago]], and was [[concertmaster]] of the [[University of Chicago Symphony]] while he was there.
