Visual Studio 2005 Standard and Professional editions have [[x64]] compiler support, and Visual Studio 2005 Team System supports [[IA-64]] and [[x64]]. Before Visual C++ 2005 was released, programmers were supposed to get the [[Microsoft Platform SDK|Platform SDK]] if they wanted to write 64-bit programs. That included the 64-bit compilers and the 64-bit versions of the Visual C++ 6.0 libraries.
