In 2020 this article is still meaningless to people who are not specialists in math or quantum computing. The introduction is borderline condescending and reads more like an overcompensating graduate student showing off to their friends. The article is supposed to explain the subject to people who want to learn about it, not to people who already understand it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.235.104.6 (talk) 12:31, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
Some of us would like to understand more than just what's written in the first line. I have to agree with those who say this article is meaningless to all but those who already have a good grasp of the subject. It is so far out of reach of most people that it can, indeed, appear arrogantly condescending. I know for Shor that is not the intent. As someone who frequently has to translate the complexities of computer infrastructures into "human-speak" I also know how hard it is to make a complex subject accessible. The effort to do so, however, is rarely wasted. So can I echo the request of those above and ask that someone at least has crack at adding a section that us idiots have a chance of getting to grips with?
