Hi {{u|MarioGom}} - StevenMih88 here - I'm also requesting a review by you here on the talk page as it relates to 3 items. Thanks in advance:

1) My edit which was deleted by [[User:Brianolsen2|Brianolsen2]]:
"Presto Foundation is an open community and everyone is welcome to participate as long as they abide by the code of conduct."

2) My edit, also undone:
Initial sentence, instead of "Presto (including PrestoDB, and PrestoSQL which was re-branded to Trino)"
Requesting consideration as there is a separate Trino page published now, to make this page less confusing and focused on Presto to be revised to:
"Presto (including PrestoDB)"
Note: Trino is now in the See Also section.

3) and the reviewing the claim that:
> Neither the creators of Presto, nor the top contributors and committers, were invited to join this foundation.

This is in the public Presto Slack #general channel forum which Brian mentioned,

if you don't have access here's the thread:

@Brian Olsen
what do you feel is objectively incorrect and what evidence do you have to dispute. I’m open to listening.
Presto is not Trino.
Trino was invited to join.

Martin, Dain, and David were not invited to join PF.
I've tried to create a separate Trino page but Wikipedia mods rerouted to the Presto page until further notice and suggested we still share the page. Until then Presto and Trino will share that page.
You have a clear conflict of interest just as I do so you and any other Ahana employee or Presto Foundation member shouldn't be adding edits to that page.

Please show me the evidence you have that the creators of Presto were invited.

One thing to make clear, we are not trying to say that Trino is Presto...Trino has shared history with Presto and the creators of Presto that built Presto name are now working on Trino. We no longer need any affiliations with the old name. So yes, we agree that Trino is not Presto. No worries there

In the mean time, I am working to get a separate Trino page created so that we can have a clear seperation and at that point we will see what the Wikipedian's believe is the best route to represent Trino/Presto information on both pages.

Hi Brian, I’m the PF Governing Board chair. We did invite Martin, Dain, and David to join the foundation in 2020.

Hey Girish,
Any proof of this? They have mentioned that is not the case.

We discussed the proposals in the Governing Board. All GB members can access the minutes in the archives.

Okay, please provide these.

but to be frank I was hoping for an email or some communication with Martin, Dain, or David. Meeting minutes may prove you intended to invite them, but they never got the message if you did.

Archives are restricted to GB members. Starburst is also on the board and can access them.

Just checked in with Martin. They did not get an invite during the Presto Foundation's creation and had no input in how it was formed. The text on the Wikipedia reflects this point of development.
Later in 2020 there was a vacuous invitation to merge the Trino project into the Presto project under the terms that Martin, Dain, and David would no longer be on the steering committee. It seems pretty obvious why this was refused.
It seems pretty clear why we're pushing two different accounts but this really doesn't matter to anyone who wants to use Presto or Trino so I think removing either claim is a benefit to everyone.
Either way, none of us on this thread should be making edits. I will put in a request for a non-biased Wikipedian to review this claim:
Neither the creators of Presto, nor the top contributors and committers, were invited to join this foundation.[12]

Here's evidence of Girish being the Linux Foundation Presto Foundation Chair.

Thanks again for your objective consideration.
