On October 13, 1918 Danny house was the scene of a meeting of the Imperial War Cabinet, including such luminaries as Lloyd George and Churchill, and it was from here that the decision was made to negotiate the armistice with Germany. Many say the members of the war cabinet sought inspiration in the slopes of Wolstonbury.
 
It is set in eight acres of gardens at the foot of the Sussex Downs.
