Just like everything else, there are positive and negative impacts of using digital media in education. One person may be distracted while using digital media while others are using digital media to find information. There is an endless amount of information on digital media today. Some data is useful, and some is not. Nonetheless, it can still impact students learning.
Most everyone uses digital media. Especially the younger generation who are also students. This is building on their learning and socialization skills, which is important for anyone to have.
Digital Media will continue to be used daily for giving and receiving information. It will be used to look up information when someone doesn’t know how to do something. They may be looking for someone who does know how to do it and learn from them. Whether this will take over as the new learning mechanism, no one knows, but it looks like it may be going that route.
