This hybrid self-reconfiguring system was built by the [[Cornell]] Computational Synthesis Lab to physically demonstrate artificial kinematic self-reproduction. Each module is a 0.65&nbsp;kg cube with 100&nbsp;mm long edges and one rotational degree of freedom. The axis of rotation is aligned with the cube's longest diagonal.
