[[Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)]], [[Methodist Girls' School, Singapore|Methodist Girls' School]], [[St. Joseph's Institution]], and School of the arts or SOTA, the only IP leading to [[International Baccalaureate|IB]] schools in the country, have allowed their students to abandon the British system and "go Swiss" by dropping the GCE examinations altogether and adopting the [[International Baccalaureate]] (IB), having been fully authorised as IB World Schools. The IB is generally regarded as a better track if the students have plans to study overseas in the future. TheIn addition, the IB allows students to take both arts and science subjects, philosophy courses, and extensive research papers. Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) is regarded as one of the top schools in terms of results of the IB in the world, having averages as high as 42 out of a total of 45 points. St. Joseph's Institution started its IP in 2013.
