* <code><nowiki>{{{2}}}</nowiki></code>: Date (YYYY-MM-DD) of the previous article in the department ("Arbitration report", "Essay", "Opinion" etc.)
* <code><nowiki>{{{3}}}</nowiki></code>: Date (YYYY-MM-DD) of the next article. This is obviously impossible to determine at publication time; it is retroactively added to the template when the next article is published.
