Il 26 aprile 2012 Samsung rilascia l'Exynos 4 Quad<ref>[https://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/Exynos/news_12.html Samsung Exynos]</ref>, presente nei successivi dispositivi di fascia alta come il [[Samsung Galaxy S III|Galaxy S III]]. Samsung dichiara che il SoC Exynos 4 Quad utilizza 20% in meno di energia rispetto al SoC presente nel Samsung Galaxy S II.
