Ge with hook is used in the literature of the [[Nivkh languages|Nivkh]] languages to represent the [[voiced uvular plosive]] [ɢ],{{Sfn|Taksami|1996}}, and is sometimes represented instead with the [[ge with descender]] {{Angle bracket|Ӷ ӷ}}.{{Sfn|Berdnikov|1998}}.
