The PARCTab is an experimental mobile computer designed by [[Xerox]]. It was one of the first devicedevices made to meet the concept of [[ubiquitous computing]]. The PARCTab was similar in shape, size, and appearance to a PDA. It had a touch screen and a stylus. It hadalso handwritingcalled recognition"UbiComp".

The PARCTab had infrared sensors and emitters to communicate with 'gateway nodes' that were to be installed in a ___location.
