For the first cn in Belmont, Massachusetts. Probably page 64, 66 or 107 according to this index I found. Other sources that say that Belmont was annexed for its water supply would also be sufficient. Thanks, Aaron Liu (talk) 02:28, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

:According to the Google Books preview, p. 64 says: "Battles over Water Quality: Contemporary records show that, in the 1870s, there was little scientific agreement about the causes of any pollution to the pond's water, or about the best means of protection. [...] The alleged culprits [...] always seemed to be across the town borders in Arlington and, especially Belmont. [...] A report commissioned in 1879 concluded that the city needed to acquire a strip of land around the Fresh Pond shoreline up to fifty rods (about 825 feet) wide, to remove buildings from around the shore, and to annex the parts of the neighboring towns of Belmont and Arlington that abutted the pond." p. 66 says: "After years of mutual invective, Cambridge finally go the upper hand. [...] Cambridge managed to persuade the legislature of its case for annexation. Some 570 acres of Belmont and 70 acres of Arlington were duly transferred to the city of Cambridge." I can request this book from my university's off-site library, but I think this should be enough to validate that claim, though I think it should be edited to clarify what it means by "for its water supply"? I'm looking to get hold of Raymond Mortimer's review of the novel On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Unknown title, but it was published in The Sunday Times on 30 March 1963. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 12:47, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

:I have seen The Times for that date through Gale/TWL access (not The Sunday Times) but there's nothing that satisfies your search criteria. The Sunday Times access there is only from 1985.
:I applied to the British Newspaper Archive on the Wikipedia Library to see if I can find the resource. Hang tight. Szmenderowiecki (talk) 15:13, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
