:I don't think it's meant to be this way, but the "WYSIWYG Criticisms" section now comes across as saying that WYSIWYG is the best and anyone who criticizes it is ignorant. The analogies sound like a debate rebuttal rather than an encyclopedia article. I have seen WYSIWYG editors that produce terrible code. It doesn't mean all WYSIWYG is bad, but there is at least some truth to some of the criticisms. There really needs to be more outside evidence to both support and rebut these arguments. 00:05, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
::I don't see anything in the article denying that WYSIWYG editors produce less optimal code than some hand code. If there is any bias for WYSIWYG, it's a counter-balance to the bias against. Without the rebuttal, the criticism comes across as saying that the drawbacks of WYSIWYG outweigh the benefits. The only fair criticism is the less than optimal code, which can be fixed in the same WYSIWYG editors in source mode if you know how to hand code. Hand coders just don't like competition from people who don't know how to hand code, but can get by with WYSIWYG code. If WYSIWYG were as bad as hand-coders made it out to be, it would never sell.
