==History==
The study of concurrent constraint logic programming started at the end of the 1980s, when some of the principles of [[concurrent logic programming]] were integrated into constraint logic programming by [[Michael J. Maher]]. The theoretical properties of concurrent constraint logic programming were later studied by various authors, including Martin Rinard and Vijay A. Saraswat.<ref>{{Cite book |last=Saraswat |first=Vijay A. |url=http://dx.doi.org/10.7551/mitpress/2086.001.0001 |title=Concurrent Constraint Programming |date=1993 |publisher=The MIT Press |doi=10.7551/mitpress/2086.001.0001 |isbn=978-0-262-29097-5}}</ref>
