Later, in 2002, while attending [[University of Michigan]], he formed [[Tally Hall (band)|Tally Hall]] with bassist Zubin Sedghi and musician [[Andrew Horowitz]]. He majored in [[molecular biology]], with a minor in nonprofessional music.
