== Weather stations in Wikidata ==

Hi Petitverdot,

I saw that your impressived work the data for italian weather stations into Italian Wikipedia. In fact, I visualised the [//w.wiki/w9o talian weather stations on Wikidata] and retraced the information into Wikipedia.

We are currently working on a project with the World Meteorological Organisation to upload all the metadata weather stations of their database into Wikidata. Meanwhile, we would also upload the weather observations into Commons.

We've already proceeded with the Canadian data. The detail of the project can be found here:

We are looking for collaborators to create a product, based on weather observations most probably, that could be useful across the Mediawiki Foundation projects, and/or weather observations end-users. And more generally, I am also trying to broaden the scope of the (meta)data upload into Wikidata to encompass more Open Government data. But this is on the long-term.

You do not seem to be active on Wikipedia in the last few years, but hopefully this message will find you.
