Effective September 21, 2024 with the completion of the [[Caltrain Modernization Program|Caltrain electrification project]], 14 "Express" trains run each weekday: 3 per direction during peak morning commute hours and 4 per direction during peak afternoon commute hours. Express trains make 9 stops between San Francisco 4th & King and San Jose Diridon: 22nd Street, South San Francisco, Millbrae, San Mateo, Hillsdale, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale.
