Aleksandar Nikolov was born in Varna, Bulgaria to Bulgarian parents of [[Banat Bulgarians|Banat]] origin. After attaining primary and secondary education in Varna, he was awarded a presidential scholarship to St. Peter's University in Jersey City, NJ.
