Manx is one of the three [[daughter language]]s of [[Old Irish]] (via [[Middle Irish]]), the other two being [[Irish language|Irish]] and [[Scottish Gaelic]]. It shares a number of developments in phonology, vocabulary and grammar with its [[Sister language|sisters]] (in some cases only with certain dialects) and shows a number of unique changes.
