== Uniform ==
As of the 2006-2007 school year, the uniform has consisted of either a dress shirt, tie and blazer or a Rugby style shirt, made by the tailoring company McCarthy's, as well as khaki pants or kilts (although as of the 2006-2007 school year, the kilt has been discontinued for new students, much to the chagrine of male students). However, St. Aloysius Gonzaga's new house system is a reported improvement towards the school's overall spirit and academic enjoyment.

== P.E.D. Ban and Conflict ==
The school's administration, as well as the school board itself, has come under fire recently for the board-wide electronics ban. Dubbed "Personal Electronic Devices", or P.E.D., items such as digital cameras, iPods, mp3 players, and freedom have been banned from the school premises. While no suspensions have occurred as a result of students breaking the rule (and thus making themselves PEDOs, or Personal Electronic Device Operators), iPods, cameras, and other P.E.D.'s have still been used.

While no serious protests have taken place, certain students have advocated the allowance of these P.E.D.'s (hence declaring themselves as PEDOs), much to the general annoyance of the staff and administration. It is hoped that the ban will be amended, as a growing Facebook group headed by David D'Orazio of Gonzaga and Dominik Nowak of St. Francis Xavier in protest of the ban has made its presence felt.
