Mickie James appeared at [[WrestleMania 23]] as a Lumberjill in the Women's Championship Match which pitted [[Ashley Massaro]] against Mickie's enemy Melina. Melina retained the title and decided to get photos of her with the title the Raw following WrestleMania. Mickie James interrupted Melina and attacked her giving her a DDT. This would begin another feud between the two once again over the Women's Championship. On [[April 24]] at a [[House show|live event]] in [[Paris|Paris, France]], James won the WWE Women's Championship for the third time in a triple threat match against Melina and Victoria. However, on the orders of [[Jonathan Coachman]], Mickie defended the title later that same night and lost it back to Melina.
