::::::::::I thought you were trying to enforce Wikipedia rules, that is why I pointed out that Wikipedia rules don't really have anything against an article such as this one. Davidoskky (talk) 09:32, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::::I removed packages without own article. Valuable information would be new articles for packages that have no articles yet. Maybe for you the listing is valuable but not for Wikipedia. The Banner talk 13:55, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
:@The Banner I notice your edit of February 22nd, 2025 which results the removal of ChemDoodle2D. As a question: Did you remove this entry for the absence of an independent article about ChemDoodle alone? Kevin Theisen, a chemistry graduate of Rutgers University (NJ) started the development to provide an alternative to ChemDraw (still at time CD was distributed by CambridgeSoft, prior to the acquisition by PerkinElmer) which would reliably work not only on MacOS, Windows, but equally in Linux (i.e., very useful for groups in computational/quantum chemistry). Would the criterion "notable software" be met by Tamas Gunda's review alongside with other sketchers (https://www.gunda.hu/dprogs/) some years ago? Can recommendations to use ChemDoodle instead of ChemDraw (example https://tu-dresden.de/mn/chemie/oc/chembio/resources/computer-it/software-manuals) as an alternative more affordable for students a hint? Or public universities which deploy the program with a site / campus license (again like ChemDraw)? See for instance https://chemistry.ua.edu/software/, https://chemistry.illinois.edu/licensed-software-chemdoodle, https://ucsd.libguides.com/stem-open/chem-structures, https://www.msvu.ca/campus-life/campus-services/it-services/software-catalogue/chemdoodle/, https://www.msvu.ca/campus-life/campus-services/it-services/software-catalogue/chemdoodle/, https://support.csuchico.edu/TDClient/1984/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=113267, https://www.uni-kassel.de/fb10/en/1005399, https://www.tuwien.at/en/library/searching-and-borrowing/databases, https://boku.ac.at/boku-it/themen/everybodys-needs/software/software-fuer-studierende/chemdoodle-fuer-studierende, https://wiki.unil.ch/ci/books/distribution-de-logiciels/page/chemdoodle of schools upfront about their usage - I'm not sure if iChemLabs (or Revvity on behalf of ChemDraw; or the other code owners) maintain a public listing on their web site about their licensees.
