::::I don't think it is, except by mistake, and a mistake of a different category than the one Michael Hardy is calling a mistake. The best solution, in my opinion, is to redirect to cumulative distribution function without comment. If Michael wants to put R from incorrect name on the redirect I probably wouldn't fight it. But if we're going to have anything like the essay that was there previously, it needs to be specifically sourced by an RSS that says specifically that it's an error and for the reasons given. --Trovatore (talk) 18:41, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::::I support a redirect. But until we have one, I disagree with the current statement that "cumulative density function" is sometimes used to mean "probability density function". I don't think anyone in this discussion believes that to be true? —St.Nerol (talk, contribs) 22:37, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
::::::I also support a redirect. I'm not sure how to do this procedurally. I looked at the old discussion and I was not so convinced that it excluded the redirect. But it's clearly contentious to some extent. An AfD doesn't seem quite right because no one actually wants to delete the page. Maybe an RfC? St.nerol would you like to set that up? I don't want to fiddle with all the templates at this exact moment, though I think there are fewer of them than for an AfD. --Trovatore (talk) 17:54, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
